More Summer Fun

Oh man can I say enough that I LOVE summer!!! R
Here are just a few things we've been up to the last couple of weeks.

Kyle, Bill, Erin, and Rob ran the Tough Mudder up at North Star ski resort, and they had a blast!  It was about 12 Miles with 20 obstacles for them to run through.  It took them about 4.5 hours to get through the whole course.  Kyle took tons of pictures!  But here are just a few
This is the beginning of the course.

During the the madness

Apparently you were not supposed to do backflips.. Kyle clearly ignored that rule

The end of the race, and the headbands they got.

These are the shirts they got too.

For all of their hard work I made Kyle and Bill cupcakes.  Luke really enjoyed them!

Bill stayed the whole weekend with us, which was so nice!  Sunday night Rachel, Tonya and all the kids came to stay the night with us so we could go to the beach up at Tahoe the next day.  My parents have a time share and they allow day uses, so we basically had our own little private stretch of beach.

Sadly I did not take a lot of pictures..

Then a couple of days later we took some family pictures, and had a little get together.

Our adorable little man!

Not the best picture of us, but we just took these on my phone.

Mary took all the family pictures.  Not a single kid was crying.. it was a miracle!!!

Our  next party was Braden's birthday.  It was fun to just sit around and be with the family, and it was the last night we would Rachel and her kiddos :(.  Kyle worked in Fallon that day so it turned out really well.  We actually ended up having to drive to Auburn early the next morning to go to an ACN meeting.
The big 7 year old!

My boys

Pinata fun

All of the grandkids minus Logan.

Our favorite sister missionary Sister Firmage, who was in our ward for 5 months, ended her mission here.  Sister Firmage and her companion ate at our house usually more than once a week.. we kind of hoarded her..

We bought a new.. to us.. car!!  It's a 2011 Chevy Equinox.  We love it!!!

Celebrated Bill's birthday with a sushi dinner, and Tim and Bill's birthdays with homemade raspberry ice cream... it was delicious!!!

Unce Bill with two of our adorable nieces

And some rare snuggle time for daddy

And lastly we made it out to the big food truck gathering they have at a park every other Friday night.  Our wonderful friends the Keenan's invited us.  Christopher worked in his brothers food truck Bodawgs so we got the BEST hotdogs in the world!!  I've had them before but Kyle never had.. he's hooked!

Melisa, Christopher and their sweet kids!

This was a long post but we've done a lot since my last one!

More family summer fun!

Right after we got home from Auburn we were off to Fallon to hang out with our family there.  Rachel and her family are visiting for a while so we had to see them too!!  Tonya and Logan are also in town!  I love summer, and I'll say it over and over, for so many reasons but one of them being family visiting!  I can never get enough of it!

Rachel's kids can't get enough of Luke.  Tim and Gavin's kids love him, but they see him so often and have babies around that the novelty has worn off.  But Rachel's kids aren't around him so much, and they are soooo good at playing with him.

One day we packed everything in, we did the slip and slide, played a family baseball game, and my mom and dad rented the outdoor pool out for 2 hours.  It was a good day!

They had tons of fun slip n sliding!

Then the injury's started happening and the melt downs commenced.. it was pretty funny

That evening we all made hoagie sandwiches and headed to the park for baseball.  The boys are all really good, and had lots of fun batting while the adults all played in the outfield. Some of the adults took their turns, like myself, and I did pretty dang good!

Then at 7:00 it was time for swimming!  My mom and dad bought these awesome bumper boat type things for the kids, they were sooo fun!  They are motorized and had water guns on them, and we all fell victim to them.  It was a good night!!!

Luke and I only lasted about 30 minutes before he wouldn't stop shivering!

Carsy boy didn't make it long either

What a good night this was, and the best part of all was that everybody went home and crashed!

And then the next day Rachel and Steve's family came to Reno to go and walk around UNR.  It had been a really long time since any of us had walked through campus.  And it was awesome for Rach and Steve to show their kids where they went to school, and where Rach played basketball!  It was kinda weird, and made me sooooo happy I am done with school!

Lawlor Events Center, Rach played many a game in here.

Luke loved crawling all over the court.

Wolf Pack!

Landon and Braylon loved running around too

Then we headed up to the football field.  There were some girls out conditioning and that also made me really happy I'm done with school...  Kinda couldn't believe they were out there at 1:00 in the afternoon.  Don't miss those days too much.
After that we headed to some of the new building, well new to us, and got us some treats to cool down with.

Next we went to the Virginia Street Gym where I spent most of my time at UNR.  The floors had just been redone so we couldn't go in, but it was still nice to go back.

Last stop the old part of campus, and the prettiest part.

This is the Quad, and I loved walking through here to get to my building that the majority of my classes were in.

And one more of the cutest kid.
