W THANKSGIVING W

Luke's first Thanksgiving was a great one!  We got to spend it in Fallon with my family, the Fraker family, and the missionaries came over.  We had a full house!
Kyle got to go into town and play in a Turkey Bowl with some guys he played basketball with, while Luke and I participated in the 1st annual Sorensen 5k Thanksgiving run.  I of course did not run, Tristin  and I walked with our kids while most everyone else ran!  After the race was over, it was at Kim and Aaron's house, Tonya, Billy, Cameron and I had a little hand stand contest.

I think Cameron won

After this we all went and got ready for our Thanksgiving lunch.. mmmmmm!  Unfortunately I was not thinking about picture taking during the festivities.  I was busy eating and playing a sweet card game with Tonya and the missionaries.
Later that night we played games and played a little trick on Billy and Cameron... ohh soooo funny!!

This is a game that my dad played when he was younger at church activities.  you pick out two unsuspecting victims...Billy and Cameron.  You have people who already know what the prank is 'play' first.  You have a cookie sheet filled with water and a toothpick.  The object is to blow the the toothpick to the other persons side of the cookie sheet.  Simple right?  Well watch what happens:

The look of determination

Oh soooo funny!

And this is how we ended our Thanksgiving night.  I am Thankful for two amazing younger brothers!

Apple Saucing/ juicing

We love being with our family.  Just recently the Sorensen side made some apple juice and we canned apple sauce.  My mom and dad have two apple trees in their backyard and they were so full of apples that the branches were sagging to the ground.  My mom, dad, Tonya, my brothers and their families all picked those trees bare and we had boxes and coolers filled with apples!  Oh Then the juicing and canning games began.  It took 4 days to just juice and can all of those puppies, but the fruits of our labors were so worth it!!

We know we're beautiful

Finally got the good one!

The canning process, lots of work!

1. Sorting through EVERY apple 2. cleaning    3. dumping              4. pressing

Picking through every one of those apples was super annoying!!
The apple juice is soooooo delicious, it made the annoying parts worth it.  We got about 50 Gallon bags at least of apple juice!

Utah Trip!!!

Lots and lots went on this last weekend!!  We had a wonderful spur of the momentish trip to Utah for Karly and Craig's wedding!  It was beautiful.  Kyle and I LOVE Utah and are always looking for reasons to go back to see our family and friends.  Lots to blog about for this one so I'll break it into chunks.

First and foremost the wonderful wedding.  I love going to weddings, especially when they are my families weddings.  It is a added bonus when this family member is also one of my best friends in the whole world!  I am so soo happy that Karly found her wonderful husband Craig!  They are so great together.  Their sealing was beautiful, I love sitting in the temple and feeling the sweet spirit there.  But listening to a sealing is just amazing!  We had a hectic morning so the peaceful calm of them temple was just what I needed!

The happy couple!!

Tonya and Bill came!

This Elephant was awesome!

Going on Luke's first Carousel ride

You can't really tell, but Luke's got the biggest smile on his face!!

3rd Anniversary!

I was so excited to surprise Kyle with my gift for him this year!  I sat there and wondered what I should do for about a week until it hit me!  I found an activity that my young women's advisors did for us about different qualities in our perfect one day husband.  They were all linked with a candy bar, and I thought Kyle loves candy, so I sent him on a scavenger hunt.  I typed up, and edited a little bit, the qualities of all of these dream guys, attached them with their candy bar and I hid them around our little apartment.  Some of them were so spot on about Kyle it is nuts!
When Kyle came home I was hiding in our room with Luke, he opened the door and I heard Kyle saying something about brining my present in later, and then he stopped because he saw my little station set up for him to begin his hunt.
The hunt sent him from Luke's crib, to his closet, to the spare bathroom, to the coffee table, to the fridge, to the closet by our front door, to our couch, then out to the car and finally into our bedroom.  Where I had written out a huge candy poster for him on our bed, he had to use the candy bars he found to finish the poster.  (I also had to leave him a note not to eat any of the candy because I knew he would, and not surprisingly he was going to eat the first one laid out for him.. my little garbage gut!)
He loved it, and turns out he had never been on a scavenger hunt before.  He really appreciated my gift, and all of the notes that I had written out for him.  I kinda LOVE my husband!!!

The finished product.. all 26 candy bars

I loved this saying I found online.. 'I hope you don't ROLO ver sick from all of this candy!'
He has eaten some of it slowly.. surprisingly!

Here is my gift that I LOVE and have been wanting for a long time now!!

After our gift giving we went to Circus Circus to play some games.  I had been a loooooong time since either one of us had been there so I thought it would be fun!

The boy

Neither one of us won anything here...

This was an intense game, but I prevailed!!

I sucked at this game!!

Our winnings got Luke his first hot wheels car!

Happy Anniversary my love!  And many more to come!!
